The 32nd Pledged Plod comprised 94 Beavers, 32 Rainbows, 138 Cubs, 100 Brownies, 85 Scouts and 58 Guides - 507 youngsters in all - along with parents and friends.
The 10km walk took place around Rhydd Covert, Rifle Range nature reserve and back by Severn Valley Railway, Burlish Camp, Bewdley and finally along the perimeter of West Midland Safari Park. The participants were then able to go around the safari park.
The walkers signed in between 10am and noon, and some were able to complete the walk in dry weather, while others encountered the rain and ranged from damp to soaked.
Five youngsters each won £10 in a quiz based on powers of observation and reading the Pledge Plod Guide: James Allen (KD 8 Cubs), Chloe Goodyear (K 15 Beavers), Robin ray (KD 10 Scouts), William Davies (KD 9 Cubs), Callum Shakespeare (KD 4 Beavers).
