A NEW play centre has just opened in Evesham - and it's a load of old rubbish.
It's tops with town youngsters, however, and the search is on for even more refuse that's safe to play with.
The idea behind the centre at Adventure Playground, in Woodlands, is to collect waste products such as cardboard and packaging from businesses, which can then be sold to groups or people who work with children for a small fee.
Paul Allberry, who runs the centre, wants to establish contact with businesses so he can collect unwanted bits and bobs for the centre which also pens, paints and glue and has various play equipment and books to loaned out to members.
Mr Allberry said: "We've already got about 20 members and it's certainly growing.
"We now need to persuade businesses to give us a ring so we can help them cut down on waste management.
The centre is open from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday, and is offering membership fees at various prices.
