PLANS to create a new community hospital in Malvern came a step nearer with the first meeting yesterday (Thursday) of a project team.
The team has the task of producing an 'outline business case' which will be submitted to the regional health authority.
Jane Beckett, the project manager, said it would take about six months to get the outline case written.
The team consists of health professionals working with members of the community, councillors and representatives of other bodies.
The plan to construct a new hospital at Seaford Court, off Worcester Road, has been the aim of campaigners in Malvern for more than 20 years.
