MALVERN TOWN opened the scoring five minutes into the U18's Youth Division game when Michael Cole connected with a well flighted corner and drove the ball home.
MALVERN TOWN U18s 8, LIBBERY WANDERERS 1
Town scored twice more through Dale Humphries and once through man of the match Joe Layton. O'Connell, Thomas and Layton restricted Libbery to very few chances, but Libbery were rewarded when Cullen caught the defence flat footed and ran onto a through ball beating goalie Ian Hill.
In the second half skipper Hooper grabbed a brace of goals, and when Matt Lane's shot was blocked, new signing Adam Gwilliam reacted quickly to tuck home the rebound. Substitute goalie Anthony Lampitt was only put under pressure four times in the second half and kept a clean sheet with two excellent saves.
The highlight of the match came when midfielder Alec Smith hit a tremendous 35 yard shot which kept rising until it hit the back of the net.
