WE are constantly reading about sex education in schools and girls as young as 11 or 12 having babies.
Until a few years ago, it was a disgrace for a girl to have a baby out of wedlock, whatever her age. Now young children are taught about sex in school.
Since this form of education was introduced, there are very many children trying it out without taking precautions, the result being many unwanted babies, with the taxpayer picking up the bill.
I do not advocate putting sex under wraps as it was in my early days, but I would be happier if this part of education were taught to children of the minimum age of 15 years when we hope they may have a bit more sense.
