THE living cartoon Ennio Marchetto will be performing his newest line up of characters in a world of parody and paper at The Forum, Malvern Theatres.
The Venetian entertainer, who has been described as wickedly funny, will be bringing his own unique flavour of satire to send up all manner of stars on Saturday, October 27.
He will be magically changing to impersonate cultural icons including Mona Lisa, The Three Tenors and Celine Dion on his national tour, along with a galaxy of new stars including Eminem, Ricky Martin, Abba, Janis Joplin, Britney Spears and Lauryn Hill.
To ply his trade, Ennio has revolutionised the art of origami, with the help of Sosthen Hennekam, his co-director and designer, who studied costume and fashion in Paris where he rubbed shoulders with Jean Paul Gaultier and Thierry Mugler. The pair's irreverent sense of humour and loony take on popular culture has created an exceptional theatrical experience.
Since receiving an Olivier Award nomination in London and a Drama Desk nomination in New York, Ennio has had great success with extended seasons in San Francisco and Los Angeles and tours of New Zealand and Japan.
