AFTER a good performance last week with victory over local rivals Express 88, Langlands Sports continued the form by totally dominating this Worcester Sunday Division Two game.

LANGLAND SPORTS 7, LAKE SPORTS 0

With midfield duo Brookes and Brannelly both fit again after long lay offs it wasn't long before Langlands were 1-0 up when good work from the front players allowed the ball to be played square for Sam Dakin to tap in.

Within minutes Dakin grabbed his second when the keeper was off his line the ball popped out to him and he coolly slotted the ball home.

Langlands were really never in any danger of conceding with defending players Hodges, White, Howes and Postans having reasonably comfortable games.

Goal three came when a goal kick was won in the air by Dakin with a well directed header straight into the path of Stuart Harvey for him to lob the on coming keeper. Rob Perrins finished the first half with a calm finish after Stu Harvey's great work and unselfish play created an easy chance to score for 4-0 at half time.

Second half was made harder for Langlands, with Lakes Sports having to reorganise after suffering with injuries they played much deeper and relied on a lot of long ball.

Rob Perrins continued his great form of late bagging a further two goals to finish his hat-trick with great composure.

Lakes Sports deserve full credit for not giving up throughout the game and were awarded a penalty after goal keeper Newman was adjudged to bring down the advancing striker who then got up and struck the spot kick against the post.

Goal seven was again Stu Harvey after some great pressure he managed to use his strength to hold of several tackles and finish neatly.

On Sunday Langland Sports are away to Perrywood Reserves in the Bernard Finnegan Cup, meet 9.15am at Dukes Meadow.
