BROMSGROVE III 1, UPTON LADIES 4

Good work in the midfield by Martha Recordon, who put the ball out to Janet Goodier on the wing, who crossed the ball into the D for Rachel Barber to score. Rachel Barber scored her second, having looked up to see where the keeper was before calmly put the ball past her.

Continued pressure by the by Upton forwards including Sally Loynes and Tania Phillips led to Upton's fourth goal by Janet Goodier, her first for the club.

Bromsgrove started the second half determined not to concede any more goals. However the Upton defence of Lucy Guilding, Sarah Fletcher, Trudy Parker and Jacky Farley meant that keeper Jenny Parkes did not have to make a save, despite a number of short corners.

A good team performance which meant joint players of the match were Charlotte Underwood, Janet Goodier, Martha Recordon and Lucy Guilding.

Upton are home this week against Tenbury who are a division higher in the league.
