A 19-year-old cat has gone missing after hitching a ride to a Worcester school.
Black-and-white Emily was last seen escaping from the bonnet of a red Vauxhall Corsa at the Royal Grammar School's pre-preparatory school The Grange.
Her owner, Claire Dunn, said the family was extremely worried.
"My husband's had her since day one," said Mrs Dunn, who lives in Grosmont Avenue, The Berkeley's, Warndon Villages.
"I let her out at lunchtime on Tuesday and we think she crept into the engine compartment of our neighbour's car.
"Helena went to pick her son up from school and when she got there Emily ran out.
"We've been up to the school to have a look for her but so far we haven't found her.
"My son, Harry, keeps asking where she is.
"She's very scrawny looking but it's very upsetting, to have her for this long and to lose her like this."
Mrs Dunn described Emily as being black with white paws and a white patch on her nose.
"I can't believe she made it that far, but we just want to find her now," she said.
"Helena feels dreadful but it's not her fault. You never know that a cat is inside your bonnet."
