HEREFORD United have stumbled in their last two matches but caretaker boss Phil Robinson admits he cannot fault his side's commitment.

But it is in front of goal that the Bulls have struggled and only three sides in the Nationwide Conference have scored less than the Edgar Street club's total of 18.

Robinson wants his team to be more positive going forward and youngsters Gavin Williams and Paul Parry could be key figures in helping Hereford get on the scoresheet. Both were products of the club's then youth policy and have made the step up to first team football with both ever present in the side this season.

Robinson believes the duo have the necessary attributes to help end Hereford's two game mini-goal drought and add the attacking dimension to their play which they are currently lacking.

"Gavin is a striker who can play anywhere but has the qualities to be one or our most creative players while Paul can play on either wing and is quick with skill," he said.

Meanwhile two long term injury woes are set to give Robinson a boost with John Shirley and Ian Rodgerson back training and both eyeing up a possible return to competitive action inside two weeks.

Robinson, himself, is stepping up his fitness regime after being out for three months with a wrist injury but admits it takes time to get up to speed. "I've stepped up my rehabilitation programme but getting back to match fitness takes a while."

The future of on-loan signings Paul Webb and Tony Capaldi has yet to be decided but their official period comes to an after today's match.

Webb has featured in all but one of the last 13 Bull's matches, starting 12 of them, and adding his considerable experience to the side.
