Versatile Hinton began his career at right-back before reverting to a centre-half role during the Conference championship-winning season.
The change of position proved the making of the former Birmingham City trainee who is now rated at £1 million and regularly draws in the scouts.
Manchester City have been the latest club to be linked with Hinton who has impressed with his mature, calm attitude and reading of the game.
Boss Jan Molby still insists Hinton's future could well lie in midfield.
A niggling injury has hampered his normally consistent form so far but he is now somewhere near his best.
League appearances/goals: Harriers (2000/01) 46/2.
This season: 10 games.
Status: First-choice centre-back.
