WORCESTER cruiserweight boxer Adam Cale was left disappointed when his fight with Manchester's Lee Whitehead was called off at less than 48 hours notice after officials failed to grant a license to hold a boxing event to the Palace Hotel in Manchester.
Promoter Steve Wood said that despite frantic late discussions with local authorities he was left with no option but to cancel his four-fight show which was due to go ahead on Sunday afternoon.
He is now left to seek recompense from the hotel after their failure to honour an agreement to host the event.
