JAN Molby has moved to ease worries over the goalkeeper situation at Kidderminster Harriers.
Many fans were expecting an addition to the ranks during the summer with Molby admitting he was looking for an experienced first choice.
However, it appears the right man has not become available for Harriers at a reasonable price.
Molby is set to start with former Aston Villa youngster Stuart Brock, while Brendan Murphy, yet to make his Division Three debut, will be reserve.
And he insisted: "Brock has done OK in pre-season and we will start with him this season.
"There is no doubt he has a lot of talent but he needs a good start to get that confidence."
Some supporters have had reservations over 24-year-old Brock's ability to deal with crosses but his shot-stopping has rarely been in question.
While ex-Walsall man Carl Emberson and former Swindon stopper Frank Talia have been linked with Harriers over the summer, a tight budget has always dictated.
Manager Molby said: "I always said that if there was somebody outstanding, we would look at it.
"A lot of goalkeepers were released in the summer but we couldn't get any of those who were better than what we already had.
"There were also an awful lot of number two keepers from various clubs with next to no experience."
Fans will wonder when they may get a good look at Murphy, 25, a former Wimbledon and Bradford rookie, who represented Ireland at U-21s level but was often overlooked last season.
But stronger opposition at reserve level this season is sure to give Murphy and other fringe players more of a test of their credentials.
Former target Emberson has since joined Luton Town and will face Harriers at some point in Division Three.
