JAN Molby's summer-long chase for ex-England U-21 international Mark Blake has brought its reward for Kidderminster Harriers.
Midfield maestro Blake, 30, has agreed a two-year deal at Aggborough after shrugging off interest from other clubs.
The cultured campaigner, who bagged eight goals at Third Division Mansfield last season, has commanded £760,000 in transfer fees.
After being capped early on for England schoolboys, Blake was one of the country's bright young hopes at Aston Villa.
His career took him to Portsmouth, Leicester, Walsall and then Mansfield two years ago.
Molby mixed his capture of an experienced head who has made 276 appearances and scored 22 goals with the signing of 17-year-old prospect Matt Lewis on a three-year contract.
The pacey 6ft 1ins striker, the youngest player to be awarded a professional contract at Harriers, bagged 52 goals last season for Coventry side Marconi.
Molby is also looking at French defenders, Steve Epesse-Titi and Sall Ebdou, on trial.
Epesse-Titi was released by Wolves and figured for Exeter briefly, while Ebdou is a 20-year-old from Toulouse.
Harriers visit Dr Martens League Redditch on Saturday (3pm) and entertain Bristol City next Tuesday (7.45pm).
