FAIRFIELD were well and truly beaten at Leamington on Saturday.
Villa's day didn't start well when regular keeper Ken Sanders failed to turn up, so committee member Ken Downing went in goal.
After five minutes the home side were ahead when Brian Agar netted from close range.
After 15 minutes Villa had another blow when defender Blake Simmonds pulled a hamstring and could take no further part.
On 20 minutes Leamington went two up when Jason Blake scored from close range. On the half hour Steve Thompson hit an unstoppable shot from 20 yards to give Leamington a three goal lead.
In the 42nd minute Agar headed home their fourth with Villa's defence appealing for off side.
On the stroke of half time Villa pulled a goal back when a cross from Wayne Davies was headed home by Ian Brown.
At the start of the second half Villa had the upper hand for the first 20 minutes and had chances to score, but Richard Morris in the home goal prevented this.
In the 66th minute Blake headed his second goal of the game.
In the 75th minute substitute Jon Burgess was allowed to run unmarked to collect a return pass and scored easily.
In the final Paul Eden completed the scoring.
