TOP standards at a Bromsgrove-based solicitors have been recognised by legal chiefs.

Thomas Horton and Sons is only the second law firm in Worcestershire to scoop the coveted Lexcel standard accreditation, awarded by the Law Society.

Launched in 1998, it's only given to firms which meet rigorous standards and impose procedures which ensure excellent client care.

Senior partner Matthew Horton, the fourth generation to head the family concern, said: "We are absolutely delighted at achieving the Lexcel standard.

"It's wonderful to have the practice recognised in this way and demonstrates we are combining long-standing efficiency with excellence."

The firm has 30 staff and is developing new office space near its premises at The Strand.
