MEMORIES of the 2001 town carnival may still be fresh in the mind but thoughts are already foc-used towards plans for next year's gala event.
The carnival committee is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to come forward with bright ideas at its annual general meeting next month.
Next year is the Queen's golden jubilee and committee members are hoping to mark the occasion in spectacular style.
All are welcome at the meeting due to be held on Thursday November 1 at Bromsgrove's Hanover International Hotel, in Kidderminster Road.
Discussions will begin at 8pm and fresh ideas, as well as volunteers to help organise and run the celebrations, are required.
Carnival chairman Jeff Evans, of Moorsom Way, Aston Fields, said: "People may be worried about the commitment and time it will take up.
"But with very little effort you can have a lot of fun, and raise money for Bromsgrove's Princess of Wales Community Hospital at the same time."
