A motorist who rammed a taxi after being banned from a Bromsgrove club is facing a jail sentence.
Neil Sheldrake caused £1,100 damage to the cab and customer Darren Hodgkiss was injured as he tried to leap out of the way.
The defendant "lost his rag" after he was barred from entering the Marlgrove Club, in Birmingham Road, Catshill, because he was not suitably dressed, said prosecutor Stephen Cadwaladr.
He crashed into Mr Anthony Moody's taxi as he was parked near the entrance of the club's car park dropping off passengers.
The prosecutor said he sped towards a narrow gap in his Vauxhall Vectra but misjudged it. After the collision he fled the scene without stopping.
A jury at Worcester Crown Court convicted 29-year-old Sheldrake, of Shenley Fields Road, Weoley Castle, Birmingham, of dangerous driving.
Remanding him on bail for a pre-sentence report, Judge John Cavell said he was at risk of going to jail.
Mr Moody told the jury how on December 16 last year he heard a loud revving from Sheldrake's car and saw him flashing his lights.
He then heard the smash and Mr Hodgkiss screaming as he was bowled over with stomach and rib injuries.
Sheldrake, who had his brother as a passenger, claimed his car was kicked in the car park before he flashed his lights to give way to another vehicle leaving.
He then heard a smash but did not know if the other vehicle had hit the taxi. He insisted taxi passengers then began kicking his car and he drove off in fear.
But police who arrested him at his home found his car window smashed by the collision.
And Sheldrake was filmed on a club security video in the foyer after he had argued with the licensee over the ban.
