WOODROW First School has been given a glowing OFSTED report after being put under the microscope during a week-long inspection in May, writes Melina Cannon.
Various aspects of the Woodrow South school were assessed, including the quality of teaching, behaviour of pupils and range of the curriculum.
Inspectors sat in on lessons, met with parents and studied the work of headteacher Barry Newton, the staff and governing body.
The report stated the school was 'good and improving' with 'many very good features'.
