The next Midland Camanfa will be in Coventry on April 27 at West Orchard United Reform Church, Baggington Road. If there is enough interest, coach transport will be arranged.
Joyce Bush, president of the Mother's Union for Worcester Diocese, then spoke on the subject A Cow for Angola.
The purchase of a cow was the result of a grant from the BBC, which wanted to do a documentary about the Mother's Union.
Before the project women walked about 15 km daily to collect a litre of milk. As a result of the project, a cow named Mary Rejoice was presented to the village. There are now several calves which have been given to neighbouring villages.
Raffle prizes were won by Gwyneth Thomas, Cathy Hughes and Cath Mantle.
