STEEL work for a £20 million three-storey building to include a transport interchange will be completed within the next week.
The development, which will include a health club and several stores, will replace the former town centre bus station as part of the £60 million Kingfisher Centre revamp.
Scaffolding is up, the roof is on and bricklayers are on the site working on the external and internal parts of the building.
Bromsgrove Road was closed over the weekend to allow a large crane to be dismantled.
The development is expected to be completed by the spring.
