FLOURISHING times are being enjoyed at a Stourport club for the elderly which is celebrating reaching the 100-member mark.
Club 55+ at Stourport Social Day Centre, which runs various groups including dance, craft, art, walking, theatre and holiday classes from its New Street base, announced the figure at its annual meeting last Wednesday.
Muriel Smith, who was re-elected as chairman along with secretary Marie Hardwick and treasurer Betty Vaughan, said the club's open day earlier this month had been proof of its increasing popularity.
"Everybody had a great time and we are still seeing new faces. There is plenty of space for more people though and lots of activities to enjoy," she said.
