TENNIS: The end of season tournament at Bewdley Tennis club saw Peter Mauger, usually seen wielding a cricket bat, and Lucy Odell adding their names to the prestigious trophy.
In the preliminary rounds, young Becky Owen did well to reach the semi-finals with Jason Curtis.
They beat hot favourites Terry Round and Dawn Gumbley on a sudden-death shoot-out to reach the final.
Mauger and Odell had brushed aside the challenge of John Barker and Michele Lace in the semi-final then beat Curtis and Owen to take the honours.
