SAILING: Quiet conditions and light breezes saw easier racing conditions at Trimpley Sailing Club.
However, three GP14s found the gentle winds frustrating on Saturday and even drifted backwards at times.
Eric Reed and Jeff Waltier took the first race from Mike and Pat Stout with young Rowan Skilbeck third.
The Stouts reversed the positions in the second race and won but the Skilbecks were forced to retire. Reed and Waltier took both races on handicap.
On Sunday, Phil Quarry beat Jeff Halford in the noon single handed race with Trevor Turner third.
The noon Frostbite Series race saw Simon and Tom Fletcher beat Mick James and Debbie Tissiman by just 15 seconds with Peter Moore and crew Jean Barrett third.
The Fletchers took the handicap race from Moore with the Hopes in third.
But they were narrowly beaten in the second race by the Allans who also took the last contest. Jeff Halford and Dawn Bradley were third.
In the Laser class racing, Eddie Hillman beat Tom Jeffs with John Cookson coming in third.
