Shipston 1, Bretforton 4
IN the clash between previous Stratford Alliance Premier champions Bretforton were presented an early gift when Shipston keeper Gary Betteridge tried to play a ball across his goal but only found Graham Westmacott who side-footed into the net.
The remainder of the half was full of errors and needless fouls.
The second half started much the same until the last quarter when, with Shipston pushing, Bretforton broke through and the instrumental Rob Harris found Miller whose first-time cross found Paul Jones who slotted home.
Shipston then made for a tight finish when confusion from a free-kick saw Steve Righton head home past Micky Harris.
The goalkeeper then made a fine save from Danny Hill but the game was settled when Westmacott's shot went in off a post from 18 yards and Jones scored his second when he met Adam Slade's cross.
