IMPRESSIVE Bewdley Town cruised to their best win of the season with an excellent 4-0 success at Ludlow Town Reserves in West Midlands League Division One South.
After a shaky opening five minutes, Bewdley quickly got into their stride and made several chances to open their account.
It was no surprise when Grant Gibbs fired in a tremendous shot from 20 yards in the 12th minute.
The rest of the half was one-way traffic but Bewdley only scored one more goal to confirm their superiority.
The goal came two minutes after the first when Neil Turford released Gibbs whose cross was volleyed into the net by Paul Hyde.
The second half continued in the same fashion when after a flowing move a Gavin Smith through-ball was crossed by Gibbs for Chris Bow to head home at the far post.
Bewdley put on subs Paul Field, Andrew Ford and Matt Allsopp and they all made an immediate impact with a move that led to Allsopp being brought down in the area.
Allsopp picked himself up to drive home the resulting penalty for Bewdley's fourth goal.
Ian Harvey in the Bewdley goal was rarely troubled as defenders Chris Hough, Duncan Taylor and skipper Dave Harris kept the Ludlow forwards at bay in an excellent team display.
