DAVE Knight's last-minute volley won the day as Wyre Forest won 2-1 at Malvern Ramblers in West Midlands Division One South.
Ramblers dominated the first 20 minutes but Forest created most of the chances as the game wore on.
Both Darren Raybould and Mark Allen had efforts that went inches wide and it was Malvern who took the lead through a Mark Kitchener header.
Forest, kicking up the slope in the second half, came close to equalising when Craig Penny cleared Allen's header off the line.
But they got the deserved leveller in the 73rd minute beating Carl Preece at his near post.
Man-of-the-match Allen should have scored when he was through with only the keeper to beat but Preece saved well.
Then a tremendous 25-yard shot by Matthew Carter was brilliantly saved by the excellent Preece.
In the 90th minute, Forest were rewarded when a left-wing Stuart Brogan corner was met by Dave Knight's unstoppable volley.
Fixture, Saturday: Wyre Forest v Sedgley White Lion (2.45pm, players report to ground at 1.30pm).
