A TOTAL of £3,000 is up for grabs next week at the Business of the Year Awards being staged by Wyre Forest Business Club.
This year's competition has produced an excellent entry of companies vying for the title of Wyre Forest's top business.
The awards are split into two categories - firms run by fewer than two people and those involving more than two - and the prizewinners in those sections will then battle it out for the overall title.
Club chairman Clem Prothero said: "We have had some very high quality applications ranging from traditional financial and marketing services to individual suppliers of leisure and other goods.
"This shows what a variety of businesses there are in this area for people to support."
The awards, with Wyre Forest MP Dr Richard Taylor making the presentations, will be at the Ramada Hotel, Kidderminster, on Friday, November 2 at 7.30pm.
