Setsuko Watanabe's presentation at the September meeting was entitled In Search of Beauty, arrangements set in simple containers.
She arranged classical English styles and also incorporated modern and classical ikebana into her demonstration.
A large variety of flowers comprised the "English Country House", with cream and green lilies and carnations intertwined with variegated phormium leaves.
A silent tribute was paid to Josie Martin, who was an active committee member and flower arranger. It is hoped to stage a charity demonstration in her honour early next year.
The October meeting will welcome Michael Handley with Let Me Entertain You, and in November at the club's 45th birthday party, member Joan Southerton will be the demonstrator for Christmas Capers.
Tickets for this are available from the secretary.
