AN 18-year-old Worcester girl attacked a pair of youths after they insulted her in the city centre.
Amie Scrannage attacked Adam Jacovou and a friend in St Nicholas Street on Monday, August 20, Droitwich Magistrates' Court was told yesterday.
"Mr Jacovou had just left a bar when they saw Scrannage, who turned around and said 'what are you looking at'," said Peter Parson, prosecuting.
"He replied 'not much', which seemed to irritate Scrannage.
"She then punched him twice in the face, and Mr Jacovou tried to ignore it, but she then assaulted him again."
Mr Jacovou suffered a nose bleed, bruising and two chipped teeth in the incident.
The court was told how Scrannage, of Lowesmoor, had suffered domestic violence in the past, and this had coloured her judgement.
Her father had assaulted her mother, and she herself was involved in an abusive relationship until recently.
"She said she had been out with friends when Mr Jacovou made a remark to her," said Charles Hamer, defending.
"He then said 'You look like a slag, I wonder what your mother looks like' and her temper snapped.
Scrannage admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm and was ordered to pay £200 compensation and was given a one-year community rehabilitation order.
