Elgar's latest biographer Simon Mundy will give a talk at The Elgar Birthplace Museum, Lower Broadheath.
The author will talk on "Elgar - The Musical Context of his Career" on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
It is the second in a series of six illustrated lectures on Music in Three Choirs Country in the Carice Elgar Room at the museum.
In August the museum hosted the national launch of the revised edition of Simon Mundy's book on Elgar in the Illustrated Lives of the Great Composers series.
"His book has proved very popular with our visitors, and I'm sure many local people who have bought it will welcome this chance to hear the author speaking about the musical period in which Elgar worked," said Margaret Fotheringham, spokesman for the museum.
The author will be happy to sign copies of the book.
Tickets for the talk are on sale now, priced £5 and available from the museum.
