A postmistress faced down an armed robber who demanded money.
Christine Kenyon was in Malvern Wells Post Office, along with a female shop assistant and a male customer, at about 3.15pm on Wednesday.
She saw robber - and gun - outside the window before he came in at the same time as another customer.
There was a brief scuffle between the customer and the man, which enabled Mrs Kenyon to alert husband John, in the shop's living quarters.
The raider put a bag on the counter and told Mrs Kenyon to hand over the money.
She said: "I just said to him: 'Don't be so silly. This is just a little post office. We don't have any money'. And he ran off."
The Kenyons have had the post office for eight years and experienced another attempted robbery in May this year.
Police describe the man as white, in his 20s or 30s, wearing a dark woolly hat and dark blue clothing. They also say his gun could have been an imitation. Anyone with information should contact DS John Wallace or DC John Lawrence on 01905 723888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
