AFC Mazak 0, Malvern Premiers 3
Malvern Premiers made hard work of their 3-0 win against AFC Mazak last Sunday to go through to the third round of the Bernard Finnegan Cup.
In the opening minutes Premiers were awarded a penalty, but Nick Kordas shot wide.
After 11 minutes, Jason Griffiths headed the ball from midfield to Neil Williams and a neat flick on to young Jamie Abba gave him the chance to score.
Ten minutes later, Williams again made the opportunity for Chris Brown to slam the ball into the net.
AFC Mazak had a couple of opportunities before Griffiths broke through again and slipped the ball to Abba, who made it 3-0 at half time.
Prems failed to make the most of their opportunities in the second half. AFC Mazak had two clear runs on goal, but Steve Newman made two superb saves to keep a clean sheet.
Malvern Premiers play at home this Sunday in a local derby against Langland Sports. Players are to meet 9.30am prompt for 10.30am kick off. All players are also reminded about training on Tuesday nights at Dyson Perrins 8pm-10 pm.
