HEADS of local services demonstrated their support for the voluntary sector organisations in Droitwich when they went back to the floor.
Mervyn Brookes, manager of the Droitwich Volunteer Bureau, organised the role reversal as part of the Community Service Volunteers Make a Difference Day project.
A chief executive officer of the Hereford and Worcester Ambulance Service became a volunteer car driver, the head of cultural services at Worcestershire County Council was a volunteer tour guide at the Avoncroft Museum, Bromsgrove, and a Wychavon councillor volunteered for work on the Droitwich Canal Trust project.
"The officers of local government services have given a real momentum to the challenge," said Mr Brookes.
"Hopefully MADD challenges will show people of all ages that you can make a difference."
