NOT everybody was sad to hear about the surprise resignation of hospitals' boss Harold Musgrove.
Peter Luff and Mike Foster both said he had done a decent job for the people of Worcestershire with Mr Luff suggesting he should stay on.
But Dr Richard Taylor an old adversary of the trust chairman made no attempt to hide his delight.
He told me once over the phone and then again when we met outside the Commons a few hours later.
The Wyre Forest MP said he was amazed, but pleased, by the announcement.
With a smile, he added: He has always been an enemy of ours because he could not see there was anything wrong with the plans, when viewed from the point of view of the county as a whole.
All along he forgot the 20 per cent of people who live in Wyre Forest and we've been quite unable to have discussions with him.
His management style is abrasive and intimidatory and he was certainly not popular among us.
I'm amazed that he has gone because he said he would always stay and see it out to the bitter end.
But I am also pleased because I hope his replacement will be somebody we can talk to.
Only time will tell if this is the case.
