GAMES: Sporty youngsters in Wychavon proved they are tops after the district clin-ched first place in the Worcestershire Games 2001 following a last minute victory.
The final heat of the event, the Boccia, saw Wychavon battle it out with Redditch. the teams were neck and neck in the competition, but Wychavon went on to take the glory.
Wychavon Chairman Cllr Tony Holtam collected the prestigious replica broad sword at a presentation ceremony held after the final heat at Arrow Vale Leisure Centre, in Redditch.
Worcestershire's six authorities provided teams who competed in a variety of sports.
