Brave Kidderminster Harriers put up a tremendous fight with 10 men at Second Division Chesterfield before falling to a sad golden goal defeat in the LDV Vans Trophy second round.
Striker David Reeves broke their hearts on 93 minutes, powering home after Steve Payne headed down Jamie Ingledow's corner.
Harriers put up an excellent effort despite having Ian Foster sent off for violent conduct just before the half-hour mark.
Chesterfield may have missed a couple of chances but Harriers never let the home side have it all their own way with the midfield in particular constantly pressing the opposition.
In big centre-back Abdou Sall, Harriers also had the best player on the park, the rookie defender producing a commanding performance.
