They breached the back line again a minute later when Moore darted on to Reeves' chipped through-ball but lifted his shot just wide under heavy pressure from Sall.
From the visitors' first corner on 10 minutes, Blake got on the end of Williams' cross and stabbed his shot goalwards, but Harriers were caught off-side as Abbey blocked the effort.
Harriers attacked again and Bennett's fine right-wing cross was met with Larkin's delicate flick-header which Abbey leapt to claim by his far post.
Moore missed the best chance so far on 20 minutes when Ingledow's free-kick picked the youngster out at the far post but he fluffed the effort, putting it straight at Brock.
But Harriers missed a sitter of their own in the 23rd minute when Broughton headed back Foster's cross for Larkin but the on-loan striker hooked his shot wide from 12 yards despite having plenty of time on the ball.
