A PROMOTIONAL mountain bike stolen from a showroom in Worcestershire may have been taken for a Christmas present, say police.
The distinctive cycle was stolen from the Bredon Motor Company's premises in Broadway Road, Evesham.
The Peugeot has 15 shimano-style gears, and is orange and yellow with a black saddle and the logo 307 - Peugeot's new model - on both the main frame and stem.
It is valued at £300 and taken between Monday, October 22, and Tuesday, October 23.
"It is possible that the mountain bike has been stolen in time for Christmas," said a spokeswoman for Worcester police.
"We're appealing for anyone who knows of a cycle fitting this description, which has recently been stored away in time for Christmas or a birthday, to think very carefully about where it came from."
Anyone with any information should contact police on 01905 723888, quoting 86993G/01.
