AN amazing array of fireworks will set the sky above Droitwich Spa alight this weekend.
Organisers are pulling out all the stops at Droitwich Rugby Club to ensure residents have a blast on Friday night.
They have been planning the bonfire bash for three months and club steward Barry Sargent hopes to match last year's record number of 1,500 visitors.
The gigantic bonfire will be lit at 7pm and an explosive firework display will begin at 8pm.
Residents of all ages are invited to the Hanbury Road event to enjoy the pig roast and fair rides.
Entry is £2.50 and £1 for accompanied children. Profits will go to club funds.
Droitwich Canals Trust is promising a great show at the Hampton Road canal basin this Saturday.
A dazzling firework display over the water is planned at 7.30pm and all cash raised will go to the trust. Entrance is £2 per family.
Droitwich Lions is offering free entry to its event at The Castle pub, off Worcester Road, on Saturday.
The bonfire starts at 7.30pm and the bangers will fly into the sky from 8pm.
Lions members will be collecting donations for the Acorns Children's Hospice Trust, in Worcester.
