NOT too many weeks ago, Redditch Council announced a huge windfall of many millions of pounds.
We will be able to modernise our housing stock, but first we will give the Palace Theatre £1 million.
What for? This pile of bricks should have been removed years ago.
Sell the site and rebuild in a place where people have easy access. Then you will find you have money left over.
An OAP cannot light their heating because it is sited wrongly. Oh, say the council, if you care to freeze for another four hours, someone will light it for you.
So sorry, but it will be five years before we can do anything about it.
One last word about the OAPs, of which I am one. If you put off the repairs long enough, we will probably all be dead.
When, if ever, are you going to listen to what we want for a change?
