REDDITCH Conservative councillors rejected new ward boundaries proposed for the town on Monday.
They have submitted alternative proposals for the boundary changes due in 2003.
The boundaries are being redrawn under Local Government Commission proposals to ensure wards have a similar number of electors and they have been backed by the town's Labour and Liberal Democrat councillors.
The Labour and Liberal plan includes incorporating Winyates Green into Winyates ward rather than Matchborough ward while the Conservative plan features the creation of another council seat in the town and giving priority to natural boundaries like roads.
