BROMSGROVE Rovers eased past Pershore Town 3-0 in their Worcestershire FA Senior Urn first round tie thanks to a good second-half display.
But they were lucky to reach the interval on level term as Midland Combination Premier Division Pershore had four good opportunities to take a first-half lead.
Their best chance fell to Simon Brain on 35 minutes, who had a close range shot well saved by Jimmy McGettrick.
Rovers rarely tested home goalkeeper Neil Turner in a scrappy opening session, their best effort coming from Steve Pope who had a header saved after seven minutes.
Kevin Banner opened the scoring on 54 minutes, hooking the ball home after Pershore had failed to clear Richard Kavanagh's right-wing corner.
Banner turned provider on 66 minutes, allowing Chris Porter to score his first goal for the club from close range.
Then Banner grabbed his second of the night two minutes from time to round off a fine individual display.
