MALVERN Town played out a home goalless draw in last night's West Midlands League Premier Division clash against Lye Town.
In a game not helped by a strong wind, a draw was a fair result, but both sides had chances to break the deadlock.
Town went closest on two occasions,.
Firstly, when a 22nd minute Chris Thomas lob came back off the crossbar, and in the final minute when Phil Slade set up Lee Hooper at the far post, but with the goal at his mercy, the young striker failed to make contact.
In between times the Malvern defence were strong throughout, but keeper Dave Alden twice denied the dangerous Ade Evason with excellent saves.
* Bromyard were involved in a home 1-1 draw against Wellington in a West Midlands League Premier Division encounter last night.
Wellington went ahead in the second half with Bromyard getting back on level terms ten minutes from time.
* Pegasus Juniors are at home to Cir-encester Acadedmy in a Cherry Red Record Hellenic League Premier Division match tonight (7.45).
