FAIRFIELD were beaten 4-2 after extra time.
Villa dominated the early exchanges and had several chances to take the lead. But they had to wait until the 40th minutes before scoring when Waine Davey forced the ball over the line from close range following a corner from Wayne Davies.
In the second half Villa looked in control but their play went very scrappy. They paid the penalty with four minutes remaining when the home side equalised with a header from a right wing corner.
Four minutes into extra time Malvern took the lead. They increased this in the 100th minute when a penalty was awarded to the home side and they made no mistake from the spot.
Ten minutes from the end of extra-time Malvern scored their fourth and Villa pulled one back two minutes from the end through Scott Walsh.
