GARRINGTONS returned to winning ways by playing some great football.
Gary Eades and Dane Wood linked up well down the right and Kevin Banner and Dean Tilley caused all sorts of trouble for Sherwood's defence down the left.
Good strikes by Robert Powell, Scott Grange and Banner found Sherwood goalkeeper Steven Clements in fine form, and equal to anything Garrin-gtons threw at him.
Garringtons eventually broke the deadlock in the 20th minute when Steve Evans took a right wing corner for Wood to head home.
Garringtons were now on top, and with Sherwood defending stoutly it was only a matter of time before Garringtons increased their lead.
This came in the 40th minute. Tilley took a quick throw to Banner, who found Powell on the edge of the penalty box and he picked his spot to score.
The second half was much the same as the first with Garringtons playing some of their best football of the season. They went 3-0 up in the 65th minute when Tilley crossed for Mathew Blankley, on as substitute, to drill the cross into the net with his first touch.
In the 75th minute Banner turned on the magic down the left and cut inside the area before pulling the ball back for Mark Johnson to hit a thunder bolt into the back of the net and round off a great performance.
