CHARITY bosses at the Primrose Hospice are urging people to contact police if they have been approached to join their popular lottery by anyone without identification.
The call comes after the Finstall-based hospice and cancer help centre received calls to say an unauthorised man had been canvassing in both Bromsgrove and Redditch.
According to the hospice, he claimed to be working on behalf of the hospice's lottery and a children's charity.
A hospice spokeswoman said: "If any member of the public has been canvassed to join the Primrose Lottery by an individual who has not shown formal hospice identification they should contact the police."
She refused to reveal further details.
Anyone with information should call Bromsgrove police on (01527) 584888 and ask for the public service desk.
