TOWNSPEOPLE took lessons in life-saving at the weekend and helped celebrate the first anniversary of a Bromsgrove charity.
Bromsgrove and District Heartstart marked the occasion by offering residents free lessons in emergency life-saving skills.
Tory MP Julie Kirkbride opened the event, held at the Spadesbourne Suite, at the Council House, in Burcot Lane.
Around 50 people saw demonstrations in life-saving by event co-ordinator Geoff Gough before taking the opportunity to practise on each other at the event on October 20.
Geoff said: "It was a brilliant day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
Donations totalling £76 were collected.
The charity, which is a branch of Heartstart UK, was launched last year and has trained over 300 people in life-saving skills.
