PARENTS in Bromsgrove are being asked to cast their minds back to an early morning school run more than a month ago to the time of an alleged assault.
Police need information after a ten-year-old boy told officers he had been slapped by a woman at the junction of Santridge Lane and The Flats.
The incident happened at around 8.45am on Thursday September 27.
The boy was walking to school with friends when a woman, who had just got out of her car after hearing a loud thud, approached him.
There was a discussion between the two and it is alleged the woman slapped him across the face.
A woman has been questioned by police and officers are appealing for more information.
PC Mike Morton said: "We are appealing for any witnesses to the incident because it would have been busy with many parents taking their children to school."
Witnesses should call Bromsgrove police on (01527) 584888.
