REPORTS of a gang of youths terrorising elderly residents at sheltered accommodation in Southcrest have prompted calls for increased security.
Residents were terrified when five youths jumped on cars, smashed windows and kicked doors at Bentley Close at about midnight on Saturday.
Tenants are now calling for a meeting with Redditch Council housing staff and police to see what can be done.
A Bentley Close spokesman said the biggest problems were a lack of security cameras and poor lighting and hoped a meeting could be set up by Friday.
A Redditch police spokesman confirmed an investigation had been launched after a call was received from Bentley Close on Sunday.
Reports were received of a window being smashed and a security door being damaged.
